Marcia Newman, MA, LMFT, brings over 30 years of clinical experience to her work as psychotherapist, addictions specialist, speaker and author. A pioneer in the field of aging and wellness, she is dedicated to help foster healthier aging attitudes and actions. Ms. Newman is the author of Five Gifts of Pro-Aging: Honoring Maturity in a Culture That Could Use It. In her timely guidebook, Ms. Newman brings a fresh response to an anti-aging American culture. She completed her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University-Malibu, California. Her warmth, humor and knowledge have made her a frequently featured media expert and professional speaker. Ms. Newman served as the first Program Manager of the Betty Ford Center Outpatient Services in West Los Angeles.
